Color choices
Manger can begin with warm brown planks and deeper brown wood-grain marks, then use golden yellow for the hay. Color the star pale yellow or gold, leaving the radiating lines dark for crisp contrast. Try muted tan on the angled supports and legs, with charcoal or bronze on the round fasteners to separate the small details from the broad boards.
Hay Texture Patterns
Vary light and dark shades across the hay sections, then use a repeating stripe or dot pattern on the broad manger planks.
