Things to make with your dinosaurs coloring pages

Tell a three-picture adventure

Print the hatching baby, long-necked dinosaur and volcano scene. Color a shared sky or ground color across the sheets, arrange them in an order you like, and tell a beginning, middle and ending. This is a made-up adventure, not a timeline of dinosaur history.

Make an armor pattern key

On spare paper, draw two small shapes and assign each a color. Use that key for a row of armor on the club-tailed dinosaur. Try a different repeating sequence on its body markings and compare the results.

Create a mini picture museum

Choose two finished designs and place a small label beside each one. Include the picture’s title, the colors you chose and one detail you enjoyed. Describe the skeleton as a stylized drawing rather than using it as a scientific anatomy reference.

Each picture is an individual vector PDF. Print on US Letter, or choose “Fit to page” for A4. Try one copy first to check the margins.
