Pond and aquarium scenes

Things to make with your axolotls coloring pages
Match a real axolotl
Look at photos of pink, golden and dark axolotls, choose one, and follow its colors on the lily pad page. Color a second copy in an invented palette and compare the two side by side.
Build a gill pattern key
Before starting the zentangle design, pick three colors and pair each one with a pattern such as swirls, dots or stripes. Follow the key across the gills and tail, then try a new key on the mandala.
Follow one axolotl through the seasons
Print the pumpkin, ghost costume and Santa hat pages and give the axolotl the same gill and body colors in all three. Line them up from autumn to winter and tell what happens between the pictures.
