Color choices
Simple round pumpkin sections can begin with warm orange, golden yellow, or muted rust. Color the broad center sections first, then shade the outer sections slightly darker to emphasize the curved outline. Use green or brown on the tall curly stem, with a lighter tone along its inner stripe. A deep green stem against orange sections creates clear contrast, while yellow highlights can brighten the narrow ridges.
Pumpkin Stripe Pattern
Fill the curved sections with alternating shades or repeating stripe patterns. Continue the chosen pattern through the narrow bands of the curly stem.
