Color choices
Jack-o-lanterns can be colored from the broad pumpkin sections inward, using orange, gold, and rust across the curved ridges. Give the stem green or brown, then use yellow inside the eyes, triangle noses, and open mouths. Deep purple or black around the facial openings can create strong contrast, while varied warm shades separate the stacked pumpkins.
Pumpkin Ridge Pattern
Use a repeating sequence of orange, gold, and rust on the pumpkin ridges. Continue the same sequence from the top pumpkin to the bottom.
