Color choices
This witch kneels along a woodland trail, gathering herbs into a woven basket. Try a soft green for the herb leaves filling the basket and a contrasting brown for its woven sides. Color the mushrooms growing near the tree stump in warm reds, and let the squirrel perched on a branch above pick up a rich chestnut tone. Shade the trail and surrounding bushes in layered greens, and give the snail nearby a soft color.
Compare the texture of the herbs and mushrooms
Color the herbs first, then use a warm brown for the mushrooms and the trail.
