Color choices
Large axolotl can be colored first with soft pink or pale lavender across the body and tail. Use coral or magenta for the feathery gills, then give the small axolotls coordinating pastel shades. Color the aquatic plants green or teal and the stones gray or brown. A light blue background will contrast with the warm gills and pale bodies.
