Tattoo Designs Coloring Pages

18 free PDFs

These tattoo design pages follow the classic flash style that tattoo shops hang on their walls: bold even outlines and simple shapes made for strong, flat color. There are traditional roses, swallows with a ribbon, an anchor wrapped in rope and roses, a compass rose over an old map, a clipper ship on rolling waves, a lighthouse, an eagle and a heart framed by flowers.

Japanese-style pages include a koi swimming up through curling waves, a long dragon coiling through clouds and a tiger head framed by peonies, and there are fine-line designs such as a lotus with a crescent moon and a moth above the moon phases, plus a flash sheet of small designs. Start with the six picks below or browse every tattoo design, then download the free PDF.

Things to make with your tattoo designs coloring pages

Use a flash palette

Traditional flash uses a small set of bold colors: red, yellow, green and blue with black outlines. Color one design using only those four colors and leave some areas white for shine.

Fill the blank ribbon

The heart, swallows and anchor pages leave ribbons empty. Write a name, a date or a short word on the ribbon before you color it.

Design a matching pair

Choose two designs that go together, such as the anchor and the lighthouse or the moth and the lotus, and color them with the same palette so they look like a set.

Each picture is an individual vector PDF. Print on US Letter, or choose “Fit to page” for A4. Try one copy first to check the margins.
