Color choices

Deer can begin with warm brown across the face, ears, and neck. Use deep green for the pine trees, then combine slate gray and soft lavender on the mountain peaks. Color the winding river pale blue and keep the cloud shapes light. Darker brown on the antlers and rich green among the trees will create contrast around the finer landscape details.

Antler Landscape Patterns

Use alternating greens across the pine trees and repeat the same mountain palette inside each antler. Continue selected colors through the neck landscape to connect the scenes.

Before you print

Deer Double Exposure Forest Coloring Page has about 64 separate areas to color, a medium level of detail. Crayons work for the larger shapes, and colored pencils or fine markers help in the smaller spaces.

The PDF fills one US Letter page. On A4 paper, choose “Fit to page” so the frame stays inside the margins, and print one test copy before making a class set.
