Color choices
A baby elephant sprays water from its trunk while standing in a pond under a leafy tree. Give the elephant a soft gray body, keeping the ears a slightly lighter tone. Color the water droplets a light blue against the darker pond surface, and let the tree canopy and bushes take on layered greens. Keep the tree trunk a deep brown for contrast.
Compare trunk and water splash
Color the elephant’s trunk first, then use a bright color for the water droplets splashing around it.
Printing tips
Baby Elephant Splashing Water in a Pond Under a Tree Coloring Page has about 65 separate areas to color, a medium level of detail. Crayons work for the larger shapes, and colored pencils or fine markers help in the smaller spaces.
The PDF fills one US Letter page. On A4 paper, choose “Fit to page” so the frame stays inside the margins, and print one test copy before making a class set.
