Color choices
An elephant rests beneath a tree while soft clouds drift overhead. Give the elephant’s trunk and ears a soft gray, and let the tree canopy fill in with layered greens above a deep brown trunk. Keep the clouds a simple white against the pale sky, and color the small flowers nearby in bright pinks and yellows. Let the grass stay a fresh, even green.
Compare trunk and ear shapes
Color the elephant’s trunk first, then use a different palette for the curved ears and the tree’s canopy.
Before you print
Elephant Resting Under a Tree with Clouds Above Coloring Page has about 39 separate areas to color, most of them large and open, so it is an easy page. Crayons, chunky markers or paint sticks cover the big shapes quickly.
The PDF fills one US Letter page. On A4 paper, choose “Fit to page” so the frame stays inside the margins, and print one test copy before making a class set.
