Color choices

Hedgehog spines can use warm browns and amber shades, with deeper tips for contrast. Color the curled body first, then carry related tones onto the standing hedgehog’s spines while keeping the face, ears, paws, and nose distinct. Finish the leafy ground with fresh greens and small touches of yellow or rust around the plants.

Spine Pattern Plan

Choose a repeating sequence of light and dark shades for the layered spines. Use a related sequence on the standing hedgehog to connect the scene.

Printing tips

Hedgehog Curled Into a Ball Coloring Page has about 15 separate areas to color, most of them large and open, so it is an easy page. Crayons, chunky markers or paint sticks cover the big shapes quickly.

Download the PDF and print it on US Letter. For A4, select “Fit to page” in the print dialog; a single test print shows whether your printer keeps the thin outer frame.
