Color choices

Anole can begin with emerald or lime across the body, with a warm orange or rosy dewlap for contrast. Shade the broad leaf in layered greens, then color the flowers with coral, pink, or yellow petals and darker stamens. Finish the eye, toes, tail, and surrounding foliage with deeper accents that keep the central reptile distinct.

Tropical Leaf Pattern

Use alternating green shades along the broad leaf sections. Repeat selected flower colors around the anole to connect the surrounding foliage.

Before you print

Anole Showing Its Dewlap Coloring Page has about 135 separate areas to color, a medium level of detail. Crayons work for the larger shapes, and colored pencils or fine markers help in the smaller spaces.

Download the PDF and print it on US Letter. For A4, select “Fit to page” in the print dialog; a single test print shows whether your printer keeps the thin outer frame.
