Color choices

Noah can be colored first with warm earth tones for the robe, belt, hair, and beard. Use golden brown and tan across the ark’s broad wooden planks, then deepen the beams, ladder, and supports with darker brown. Give the mallet, nails, saw, toolbox, barrel, and stacked boards contrasting shades such as gray, copper, cream, and muted green.

Wood-Grain Pattern Plan

Choose different stripe, knot, and ring patterns for the ark, workbench, toolbox, barrel, and stacked timber. Vary the brown shades to distinguish each wooden surface.

Printing tips

Noah Building the Ark Coloring Page has about 342 separate areas to color, so it is a detailed page. Sharpened colored pencils or fine-tip markers reach the small spaces, and it is easy to color one section at a time.

Download the PDF and print it on US Letter. For A4, select “Fit to page” in the print dialog; a single test print shows whether your printer keeps the thin outer frame.

This picture is also in the Old Testament Bible Story Pack, one PDF with 12 pictures and a cover page for printing a set in one go.
