Color choices
The Ugly Duckling can be colored with soft white or pale gray feathers, with warm orange on the beak. Color the ducklings in golden yellow or light brown, then use cool blue shades for the pond and darker blue in the ripples. Add green to the lily pads, cattail leaves, shrubs, and trees, with pink or purple lotus petals.
Water Reflection Match
Color the swan and its reflected outline with related shades. Use lighter marks in the pond ripples around the birds and lily pads.
