Color choices
This plum rests on the ground beneath its own tree in the orchard. Color the plum a deep purple, with a lighter highlight to suggest shine on its rounded surface. The tree trunk rising above it could take a rich brown, while the leaves overhead get a fresh green. Try muted green for the trees filling the background of the orchard.
Compare fruit and grass
Color the plum first, then use a contrasting palette for the grass and tree trunks.
Before you print
Plum Resting Under Its Tree in an Orchard Coloring Page has about 63 separate areas to color, a medium level of detail. Crayons work for the larger shapes, and colored pencils or fine markers help in the smaller spaces.
Download the PDF and print it on US Letter. For A4, select “Fit to page” in the print dialog; a single test print shows whether your printer keeps the thin outer frame.
