Color choices
This mouse shelters under a mushroom cap while raindrops fall around it in the forest. Try a soft gray or brown for the mouse’s rounded body and lighter fur along its belly and ears. Color the mushroom cap with bold spots against a warm stem so it shields the mouse from the rain. Add small bursts of color to the lily of the valley blossoms growing beside the puddles.
Compare the texture of the mushroom cap and the mouse’s fur
Color the mushroom cap first, then use a contrasting palette for the mouse’s fur and the surrounding leaves.
