Color choices
This family gathers on the front porch, with an adult kneeling to photograph a child in a backpack. Try a warm color for the child’s shirt and a soft shade for the backpack straps. Color the kneeling adult’s clothing a contrasting tone from the adult standing behind the child. Add fresh color to the flowers by the steps and warm light to the lanterns beside the door.
Compare the boy’s backpack and the mother’s outfit
Color the boy’s backpack first, then use a different palette for the mother’s top and pants.
Printing tips
With about 228 areas to color, Family Taking First-Day Photos on the Front Porch Coloring Page sits at a medium level of detail. Use crayons for the big shapes and switch to pencils for the narrow parts.
The PDF fills one US Letter page. On A4 paper, choose “Fit to page” so the frame stays inside the margins, and print one test copy before making a class set.
This picture is also in the Back to School Coloring Pack, one PDF with 12 pictures and a cover page for printing a set in one go.
