Color choices
This bat family gathers inside a rock cave doorway framed by hanging vines. Try a warm brown for the bats’ fur and a lighter shade for the pale patches on their bellies, keeping the wings a deeper contrasting tone. Color the bat hanging upside down near the top in the same palette as the others below. Shade the cave rocks and floor in cool grays so the vines draped overhead stand out in green.
Color the cave entrance
Color the hanging stalactites first, then fill in the cave floor stones with a contrasting shade.
Printing tips
Bat Family Resting in a Cave Doorway Coloring Page has about 91 separate areas to color, a medium level of detail. Crayons work for the larger shapes, and colored pencils or fine markers help in the smaller spaces.
The PDF fills one US Letter page. On A4 paper, choose “Fit to page” so the frame stays inside the margins, and print one test copy before making a class set.
