Color choices
Paper lanterns can begin with warm red, orange or gold across their broad sections. Use deeper shades on the bands and tassels, with pale yellow accents for contrast. Color the cat in cream, gray or brown, then choose fresh greens for the tree, grass and leaves. Finish the flowers, fence and stepping stones with soft coordinating shades.
Lantern Stripe Patterns
Fill the lantern sections with alternating stripes, dots or curved motifs. Repeat selected patterns across the hanging decorations for a coordinated display.
