Color choices

Bones of the hand can begin with ivory or pale yellow across the finger bones and long forearm bones. Use light tan or soft gray for the clustered wrist bones, with alternating shades to separate each shape. Fill the open hand area with coral, teal, or a chosen tone, using a contrasting shade near the palm creases.

Bone Pattern Plan

Fill the long finger and forearm bones with repeating stripes or dots, then give the clustered wrist bones a contrasting pattern.

Before you print

With about 33 areas to color, Bones of the Hand Coloring Page is an easy page: the shapes are big and open. Wide crayons or washable markers fill them without much fuss.

The PDF fills one US Letter page. On A4 paper, choose “Fit to page” so the frame stays inside the margins, and print one test copy before making a class set.

This picture is also in the Human Body Coloring Pack, one PDF with 12 pictures and a cover page for printing a set in one go.
