Color choices
This dragonfly hovers above a cluster of tall reeds growing beside a winding creek. Give the large rounded eyes a bright tone first, then run alternating bands down the long tail so its segments stand apart. The reeds and cattail heads suit deep, varied greens, while the creek’s rippling water and scattered rocks below can take cool, quiet tones.
Compare wings and body
Color the dragonfly’s wings first, then use a soft green for the reeds and rocks.
