Color choices
Rice terraces can begin with soft green paddies and earthy tan terrace walls. Use deep green for palms, shrubs, and broad foreground leaves, then add warm brown to the house roofs and supports. Color the waterfall and stream pale blue, with darker blue shadows along the curved water edges. Let the mountains fade from gray to muted violet behind the terraces.
