Color choices
A grandfather carves a pumpkin with his grandchildren on the porch. Color the pumpkin in bright orange, leaving the carved lines a deep contrasting black. The bowl catching the scooped seeds looks good in warm brown, while the wreath hanging on the door behind can take rich autumn colors. Fill the scattered leaves on the porch floor with warm gold and red.
Compare pumpkin and children’s clothing
Color the pumpkin’s face first, then use a different palette for the children’s sweaters and the porch floor.
