Color choices
This octopus peeks out from among a cluster of large rocks beneath the shallow water above. Try a cool blue or teal for the octopus’s rounded head and curling tentacles, keeping the rocks warm gray and brown for contrast. Small bubbles drifting near the surface could stay light and pale so they don’t compete with the octopus below. Add soft shading to the water line at the top to separate it from the rocky seabed.
Compare water and rock textures
Color the water with a soft blue, then use a sandy beige for the rocks around the octopus.
