Color choices
This young elephant dashes after a bird overhead, so try lifting the wings and tail into a bright color that stands apart from the trunk and ears. Keep the elephant’s body a soft neutral shade, saving a touch darker gray for the folds and toenails. Layer a few greens across the rolling hills and grass tufts to give the running scene some depth.
Compare trunk and ear shapes
Color the elephant’s trunk and ears first, then use a contrasting palette for the bird’s wings and body.
Before you print
Young Elephant Chasing a Bird Across a Grassy Field Coloring Page has about 39 separate areas to color, most of them large and open, so it is an easy page. Crayons, chunky markers or paint sticks cover the big shapes quickly.
Download the PDF and print it on US Letter. For A4, select “Fit to page” in the print dialog; a single test print shows whether your printer keeps the thin outer frame.
