Color choices
Adult foxes stand with smaller kits outside a burrow entrance, a good chance to try a deeper orange-red for the larger foxes and a lighter shade for the kits. Pick bright, varied colors for the wildflowers surrounding them, and pale washes for the butterflies fluttering above. Add a rich brown to the burrow opening in the ground.
Color the foxes together
Color the mother fox first, then match her fur tones to the kits’ fur and the burrow’s surroundings.
Before you print
With about 146 areas to color, Foxes and Kits Outside a Burrow Among Wildflowers Coloring Page sits at a medium level of detail. Use crayons for the big shapes and switch to pencils for the narrow parts.
The PDF fills one US Letter page. On A4 paper, choose “Fit to page” so the frame stays inside the margins, and print one test copy before making a class set.
