Color choices
Giraffe stands among acacia trees beneath a sky dotted with rounded clouds. Color the nearer acacia’s flat canopy a deep green and the farther trees a lighter, hazy shade. Give the giraffe’s coat a warm tan wash and pick brown for its scattered spots. Leave the clouds mostly white with a thin gray outline so they stay soft.
Compare grass and tree shadows
Color the grass first, then use a darker shade for the shadows on the acacia trees and the ground.
