Color choices
Giraffe bends low to drink from a pond ringed with daisies and fluttering butterflies. Color its coat a warm tan and its spots a deep brown, letting the reflection in the water echo the same tones. Try bright yellow centers and white or pink petals for the daisies scattered around the bank. Give the butterflies contrasting wing colors so they stand out against the reeds.
Compare water ripple and flower petals
Color the water ripple first, then use a bright palette for the flowers and butterflies around the pond.
Before you print
Giraffe Drinking From a Pond with Flowers Coloring Page has about 317 separate areas to color, so it is a detailed page. Sharpened colored pencils or fine-tip markers reach the small spaces, and it is easy to color one section at a time.
The PDF fills one US Letter page. On A4 paper, choose “Fit to page” so the frame stays inside the margins, and print one test copy before making a class set.
