Color choices
Giraffe stands behind a wooden fence with rolling hills stretched out on the horizon. Color the fence a sun-bleached brown and wash the distant hills in a hazy blue-green. Give the giraffe’s coat a warm tan with brown spots trailing down its long neck. Keep the foreground grass a brighter green than the faraway hills for depth.
Compare fence and giraffe
Color the fence first, then use a lighter shade for the giraffe’s spots and a darker shade for the shadow on the ground.
