Color choices
This flock of ravens perches along the castle battlements, their feathers ready for a deep glossy black with a slight blue sheen. Try a cool gray for the stone battlements beneath them, keeping the merlons a matching weathered tone. The clouds drifting behind the distant towers could take on soft grays, and the castle spires rising in the background stay a light stone color.
Compare ravens and towers
Color the ravens first using a dark palette, then apply a lighter tone to the castle towers behind them.
