Color choices

Jackalope fur can begin with sandy tan, warm brown, or soft gray, leaving the fluffy chest slightly lighter. Color the antlers and inner ears next, combining deeper brown with pale pink or peach. Use cactus green for the tall cacti and prickly pear pads, then choose ochre for rocks and shrubs. A coral sunset behind violet hills will create strong contrast around the ears and antlers.

Desert Pattern Palette

Use repeating stripes, dots, or alternating sections across the cactus shapes. Repeat selected accent colors in the shrubs and rocks to connect the scene.

Printing tips

With about 49 areas to color, Jackalope in the Desert Coloring Page is an easy page: the shapes are big and open. Wide crayons or washable markers fill them without much fuss.

Download the PDF and print it on US Letter. For A4, select “Fit to page” in the print dialog; a single test print shows whether your printer keeps the thin outer frame.
