Color choices

Kite panels can begin with yellow and orange, then use blue along neighboring sections for contrast. Color the curved tail in a deeper blue and combine red with purple on the bows. Give the circular bow centers a bright accent such as gold. Finish the clouds with pale gray or soft blue shading while leaving some white space.

Bow and Panel Pattern

Use solid colors in a repeating sequence across the kite panels and bows, then continue the sequence along the tail ties.

Before you print

Kite Flying in the Wind Coloring Page has about 20 separate areas to color, most of them large and open, so it is an easy page. Crayons, chunky markers or paint sticks cover the big shapes quickly.

Print the PDF on US Letter paper, or pick “Fit to page” for A4. Try one copy first to check the line weight and margins before printing more.
