Color choices
This parade of ants carries crumbs in a long line toward a woven picnic basket set on a checkered blanket. Try a deep brown or black for each ant’s body and a lighter shade for its small legs and antennae. Color the picnic basket in warm browns, and use a bright color for the checkered blanket spread beneath it. Fill in the grass around the trail with fresh green to complete the scene.
Compare ant bodies and heads
Color the ant bodies first, then use a darker shade for the heads and legs.
