Color choices
This baby elephant stands beside a shallow pond, with a few blades of grass growing at the water’s edge. Try a soft gray for the elephant’s rounded body and a lighter shade for the inside of its large ears. Color the pond a light blue, adding small ripple lines near where the elephant stands. Use fresh green for the grass poking up around the water’s edge.
Compare water and grass
Color the pond water first, then use a bright color for the grass around the edge.
Before you print
Baby Elephant Standing Beside a Shallow Pond Coloring Page has about 28 separate areas to color, most of them large and open, so it is an easy page. Crayons, chunky markers or paint sticks cover the big shapes quickly.
The PDF fills one US Letter page. On A4 paper, choose “Fit to page” so the frame stays inside the margins, and print one test copy before making a class set.
