Color choices
This elephant calf reaches its trunk up to a broad banana leaf dripping with water, surrounded by jungle plants. Color the calf’s skin a soft gray and leave a few lighter patches to show highlights. Try a rich green for the oversized leaf above, with darker green veins running through it. Fill the smaller plants around its feet with a mix of green shades for depth.
Compare leaf and trunk
Color the elephant’s trunk first, then use a contrasting palette for the broad banana leaves.
