Color choices
This mandala builds out from a small starburst center through several rings of pointed petal shapes, echoing an open lotus bloom. Start with the innermost star in one bright tone, then alternate colors around the ring of petals just outside it so each point stands apart. The wide outer band of interlocking ovals is the place for a calmer, repeating pattern, keeping the very outer circle in a clean line color of its own.
