Color choices
This large rose has a ribbon spiraling down its stem against a hilly backdrop. Begin with the bloom in a rich pink, then choose a ribbon color that contrasts with both the petals and the leaves. Leave the puffy clouds white or pale gray, and shade the rolling hills in soft greens with darker tufts of grass along the ground for depth.
Color the ribbon and petals
Color the curled ribbon first, then apply a complementary shade to the layered rose petals.
Before you print
Large Rose with Ribbon Curling Around Its Stem Coloring Page has about 71 separate areas to color, a medium level of detail. Crayons work for the larger shapes, and colored pencils or fine markers help in the smaller spaces.
The PDF fills one US Letter page. On A4 paper, choose “Fit to page” so the frame stays inside the margins, and print one test copy before making a class set.
