Color choices
A bear stands in a rushing mountain stream, reaching for a fish among the splashes. Color the thick fur in warm brown, leaving lighter streaks on the belly and paws for texture. The fish could pick up a silvery or orange tone to stand out against the rushing water, which works well in cool blue with white left for the foam. Save deeper greens for the pine trees and grey for the distant mountain peaks.
Compare bear fur and fish scales
Color the bear’s fur first, then use a darker palette for the fish’s scales and the rushing water.
