Color choices
A mandala sun rises behind mountains above a winding river. Color the sun’s radiating petals and dotted border in alternating bright colors to bring out the pattern, and give the mountain peaks nested inside a cool grey or blue. The pine trees standing along the riverbank look good in deep green, while the winding river itself could take a calm blue with pale ripples. Add warm tan to the rocks and grass tufts scattered along the banks.
Compare sun and mountain shapes
Color the sun’s rays first, then use a contrasting palette for the mountain peaks and the river.
Before you print
