Color choices
This caterpillar rests on a large leaf beside a daisy, with small butterflies fluttering above. Try a bright green for the caterpillar’s segmented body and a mix of warm petal colors for the daisy. Let the leaf beneath it take a deeper green and give each small butterfly its own bright wing color. Keep the grass at the base a fresh, lighter green.
Compare caterpillar and leaf
Color the caterpillar first, then use a contrasting palette for the leaf and the flowers around it.
