Color choices
A lion rests beneath the wide canopy of an acacia tree. Color its thick mane in warm golden brown, leaving the rest of its body a slightly lighter tan for contrast. The acacia tree’s flat-topped canopy looks good in rich green, with the trunk and branches in deep brown. Fill the grass at the lion’s feet in a fresh green, and keep the distant hills pale to suggest the open plain beyond.
Compare fur and grass textures
Color the lion’s mane first, then use a cooler shade for the grasses and the tree trunk.
Printing tips
Lion Resting Under Acacia Tree Coloring Page has about 55 separate areas to color, most of them large and open, so it is an easy page. Crayons, chunky markers or paint sticks cover the big shapes quickly.
