Color choices

This smiling acorn waves beside a tall oak tree hung with more acorns and leaves. Try a warm brown for the acorn’s crisscross cap and a lighter tan for its rounded body. Give the oak leaves several different green tones, and pick a matching brown for the acorns scattered on the ground below.

Make an acorn pattern key

Draw two small squares on spare paper and assign each one a color. Follow that key across the cap, then invent a second pattern for one of the smaller acorns.

Printing tips

With about 129 areas to color, Smiling Acorn Under an Oak Tree Coloring Page sits at a medium level of detail. Use crayons for the big shapes and switch to pencils for the narrow parts.
