Color choices

Flock members can share white or pale gray feathers, with yellow crests and dark beaks for contrast. Color the broad bodies and wings first, then shade the crest feathers, claws, and eyes. Use warm browns for the fence and tree trunks, then combine olive and forest greens across the leaves, shrubs, and grass. Finish the seeds with tan or golden accents.

Crest Feather Pattern

Choose a repeating color pattern for the raised crest feathers. Carry the same pattern across the flock or vary it among the perched and feeding birds.

Before you print

Flock of Cockatoos Feeding Coloring Page has about 236 separate areas to color, so it is a detailed page. Sharpened colored pencils or fine-tip markers reach the small spaces, and it is easy to color one section at a time.

Download the PDF and print it on US Letter. For A4, select “Fit to page” in the print dialog; a single test print shows whether your printer keeps the thin outer frame.

This picture is also in the Australian Animals Coloring Pack, one PDF with 12 pictures and a cover page for printing a set in one go.
