Color choices
This rose opens its layered petals wide, with a butterfly perched right on top. Try a soft red or pink for the rose petals, and give the butterfly’s wings a contrasting pattern of yellow and black. Layer varied shades of green across the leaves around the stem, and let the small flowers at the base add spots of purple and white. Let the sun in the corner glow a warm yellow.
Compare petals and butterfly wings
Color the rose petals first, then use a bright color for the butterfly’s wings and body.
