Color choices
A hot air balloon patterned with hearts and circles floats above patchwork fields and rolling hills. Color the balloon’s panels in alternating bright colors to bring out its pattern, and give the basket underneath a warm woven brown. The fields below look great divided into shades of green and gold to show the patchwork effect, while the farmhouse and fence can take soft, muted tones. Leave the clouds and distant hills pale to keep the balloon as the highlight.
Compare balloon patterns and field textures
Color the heart patterns on the balloon first, then use a contrasting palette for the patchwork fields and the hills.
