Color choices

Wombat can begin with warm brown, soft gray, or sandy tan across the body. Color the large fur area first, then shade the inner ears, muzzle, paws, claws, and nose with related tones. Combine earthy ochre with muted green for the burrow, soil, and grass. Create contrast with darker ground accents and brighter shades on the foreground leaves.

Burrow Color Rhythm

Color the soil bands with alternating light and dark shades. Repeat the same color rhythm across the grass and foreground leaves.

Before you print

With about 38 areas to color, Wombat by Its Burrow Coloring Page is an easy page: the shapes are big and open. Wide crayons or washable markers fill them without much fuss.

Download the PDF and print it on US Letter. For A4, select “Fit to page” in the print dialog; a single test print shows whether your printer keeps the thin outer frame.
